“Are you IN?!”
It’s a question she loves to ask - and no one’s more “in” than Coach Van. Originally from the Philippines, Van has been everywhere: physically, mentally and geographically. Inspired by the birth of her fourth child and a move to the fitness-centric Silicon Valley, she set the goal at age 31 to wear a two-piece swimsuit by her 35th birthday.
Starting with home videos, and gradually finding a love for kickboxing and yoga through group classes, Van went from heavy and loathing fitness to not just wearing that two-piece - but making it on stage as a bikini bodybuilding competitor.
On her first competition: “I didn’t place well, but just being up there was a victory for me. It proved to myself that if I worked hard and stayed committed, I could make the impossible possible.” Since then, Van’s competed in 8 regional and 4 national competitions, won 1st place in her age class, and came in 2nd at an International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness Pro Card. For Coach Van, her work is never done - so you’ll have a coach practicing to achieve her goals right alongside you.
Prior to opening Virtuoso, Coach Van pursued degrees in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts in the Philippines and Singapore. As a result, she has always been focused on the customer experience - something that shines through in the smiles (and sweat) of Team Virtuoso.

Coach VAN

Virtuoso Athlete Mercy on her tremendous accomplishment of competing and faced her fears. Mercy came to Virtuoso Fitness over in the middle of COVID with a goal to improve her fitness and build her confidence back. Not only did she do that but she achieved a complete transformation.
Throughout the process, the dedication she exhibited was beyond words incredible. She did not cheat on a meal, and was working out every day that she possibly could. As a coach, when you see that dedication, you cannot help to try even harder. In the end, she walked on the stage and showed off her hard work!

When Brandy came contacted me through Facebook page.
This is what she said:
“I am just curious as to what programs you offer and what the pricing is. I really need to get in better shape and get some muscle back. I’m 43 and have 3 grown kids. I’m a former Marine and I have Crohns. So my weight has gone up and down drastically in the last couple of years due to the Crohn’s disease.”
She started with me on in July 2022 and lost 30lbs. Her after photo was taken last February 2023. She just didn’t stop there. Brandy continued making big progress. She has been training with me 5 days a week. Listened to everything and trusted me 💯
Eventually she brought her daughter and her husband and they all made a tremendous progress.

I first met Rachel in March 2020. She was referred by one of my long time clients, Mehgan.
Rachael is one of the most hard working women I know. She manages 3 stores and carries a lot of personal responsibility. She is not only a beautiful lady outside but also in the inside!
Rachel’s initial goal was to improve her health as she felt that she got sick too often. She noticed an improvement in her health and how she felt as she trained more, but still knew that she could do more especially in terms of nutrition. In late 2022, she took the challenge to take her fitness journey to the next level by focusing on my advanced training and nutrition program. She shows up every morning Monday through Friday for her workout even if her commute is 45 minutes, puts in the hard work, and now is eating better. The pictures speak a thousand words on the result. She has lost 66 lbs since then and I cannot say in words how happy I am for her. Her journey to becoming one of the strongest Virtuoso Babes is truly inspiring!
I’m so proud of her discipline and dedication. Thank you for trusting the Virtuoso Program!
Rachael
